What is your main motivation for traveling and where do you frequent?

I lived and worked in Italy from 2006 to 2009, so my husband and I spent a lot of time traveling around Europe and back to “The States” to see my family, at least annually. Now that we are settled in Nashville, TN we travel to visit his family back in Naples, Italy and drive to Missouri often to see mine. Now we both spend time traveling for work, he as a soccer coach, and I travel in my customer loyalty position for a Nashville based corporation.

What is your favorite destination?

Our favorite destination is Positano, Italy-on the Amalfi Coast. Positano is known as “The Vertical City”, since it is built into the side of a mountain and literally spills into the Mediterranean Sea. Positano is a beautiful little jewel that must be seen-no cars are allowed into the main part of the city, so wear your walking shoes.

What are your biggest challenges on the road?

Since my husband and I have a 16 month old son, Giovanni, I always have a hard time saying goodbye when I travel without my family. Skype has become my BFF when I’m on the road. I love seeing my little guy and catching up with my hubby while I’m away. Isn’t technology wonderful? How did traveling moms and dads survive before the internet?

Do you have any Pearls of Travel Wisdom to share?

Being organized is so important when I travel. (Note I said “when I travel”…my closet is another story.) I found an amazing purse that helps me keep my receipts, plane tickets, business cards, pens, and make-up organized–The Butler Bag. This cute purse comes readymade with dividers to keep all of my buried purse treasures under control. (Disclaimer: I do not know Jen Groover or have any affiliation with her or her products. I just found this purse online and LOVE it! Thought I’d share.) Happy Traveling!
